At their meeting on June 12, 2007, the City Council approved a resolution allowing the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation to originate loans within the City limits of Pflugerville in their 2007 program. The program offered by the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation offers below-market interest rates as well as a non-repayable grant to be used for down payment and closing cost assistance. How do I qualify? Borrowers must be “first-time” homebuyers and occupy the purchased home as their primary residence. You will be considered a first-time homebuyer if you have not owned a home in the past three years. The first-time homebuyer requirement does not apply if you are buying a home in an area designated as a targeted area by the program. Homebuyers must meet program income qualifications. Last year’s maximum income limits were $71,100 for a family of 2 or fewer, and $81,765 for a family of three or more. If you have questions or need further information, or would like a list of participating lenders, please contact the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation at 512-854-4743 or visit their website at http://www.co.travis.tx.us/housing_finance/default.asp
