How can I get a book from another library?
If we don't have the book you need, there are several ways to borrow the material. If it is available at a library nearby, TexShare may be the answer. If the book is at a distant library, InterLibrary Loan may be the best solution. Fill out an ILL request and our reference librarian will do an online search and borrow the material if it is available. We request materials from libraries nationwide. You then check out the item from PCL and return it here. ILL may take 2-3 weeks, and you are responsible for one way postage, generally about $2.45 per book.

Patrons whose fines exceed our fine limit of $5 and whose fines have remained unpaid for a period of 90 days are not eligible for Interlibrary Loan services until any overdue materials have been returned by them, sufficient payments are made to reduce the overdue balance to less than $5, and after a period of good standing not to exceed 4 months.
