A message from Mayor Coleman
Mayor Jeff Coleman
Welcome to the City of Pflugerville, a thriving Central Texas city that sits "between a rock and a weird place.” Built on the work ethic and strong character of the German settlers who founded it in 1860, Pflugerville is a fast-growing, vibrant community that has maintained its small-town charm and provides the highest quality of services to meet the needs of its citizens.

At the crossroads of State Highways 130 and 45, Pflugerville is in the heart of the Austin metropolitan area. Our community offers libraries, youth activities, churches, civic organizations and other resources that make Pflugerville a great place to raise your family. Our park system is the jewel of the community, and the hike-and-bike trails rival the feel of the trail at Austin's Lady Bird Lake. We have an award-winning water supply sufficient for the next 30 years without rationing water.

The City's nearly 50,000 residents enjoy an easy commute to downtown Austin and accessibility to other communities throughout the region. Our outstanding police department provides one of the safest communities in Central Texas. Citizens enjoy opportunities to come together at various City events throughout the year, including the annual Deutschen Pfest at Pfluger Park, the Pfirecracker Pfestival, KidFish Tournament and Triathlon at Lake Pflugerville, and the Pfall Chili Pfest, Holiday Stroll and Christmas Parade downtown.

Pflugerville is a true melting pot. The City is more ethnically diverse than many of Austin's suburbs, a fact that we are very proud of. It has a mix of old-timers and newcomers; middle, lower and upper class; and African American, Asian American, European American and Latino. We are all proud to reside in the Central Texas success story called Pflugerville.

Our City staff works diligently to ensure that Pflugerville remains a place where quality meets life.  If you would like to help support this goal, there are many volunteer opportunities available. Whether you’re serving on a committee, reading to children at the Library or helping our City forester plant trees around Lake Pflugerville, we would love for you to get involved.

I encourage you to browse our website to discover everything the City of Pflugerville has to offer. Here, you can learn about City services, find phone numbers and locations of City offices, check the City calendar for upcoming community events and stay up-to-date on City news.

I am proud to be a leader in this community, and I am even more proud to call it my home. I am sure you will be proud to call Pflugerville your home, too!

Sincerely,

Jeff Coleman
Mayor of Pflugerville
