The Tree Care Advisory Board and Pflugerville Independent School District partner with local groups to celebrate Arbor Day through learning and discovery in Pfluger Park.  200 third graders from Brookhollow and Timmerman Elementary Schools enjoy a day in Pfluger Park exploring nature through hands on activities and demonstrations.  Students are exposed to science and nature in a way that inspires and motivates future discovery and appreciation of the natural world.  Pictures from the 2010 Arbor Day Nature Fest


Partnerships enable this program to succeed.  This years partners included: Texas Forest Service, Lower Colorado River Authority, Keep Pflugerville Beautiful, They Might Be Monkeys, Discover Green, and the Travis County Master Gardeners.
