It is the policy of the Pflugerville Police Department to observe the rights of crime victims and to ensure they will be treated with fairness, compassion, and dignity.

Victim's needs are met through a twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week victim services program that truly benefits any personal situation.
This program utilizes community volunteers to provide services to victims and their families, witnesses to the crime, law enforcement personnel, and the community at large. The target population includes all citizens of Pflugerville and all students of the Pflugerville School District. Direct services include:

- On-scene crisis intervention
- Emergency referrals
- First Responders and community debriefing
- Accompaniment to court
- Letter/phone call follow-up
- Accompaniment to trauma services
- Assist with Crime Victims Compensation Application
- Volunteer recruitment and training

- Community awareness programs
- Emergency protective orders
- Body notification
- Death notification
- Continued advocacy
- Information and referral
|

New volunteers are welcome. Training will be provided. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm for 7 weeks. Classes are scheduled throughout the year.
