Pflugerville Parkway West construction started on November 14, 2008. The project limits are from Great Basin Ave. (Highland Park subdivision entrance) to Greenlawn Blvd. in Round Rock. This project has been in the planning and design phase since 2000 by the City of Pflugerville, HDR Engineering, City of Round Rock, CAMPO, TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration. Funding for this project includes City of Pflugerville bond funds and STP-MM CAMPO (federal) funds administered by TxDOT. (Read on for more info)

Project Status

UPDATE
All driveways are open on the north side of the roadway.  However, due to the traffic swap, road intersections and driveways are required to be closed or rerouted on the south side of the roadway.  The maps below represent some of these closures.

The Springbrook Drive intersection at Schultz Lane will be opened starting Monday, May 10th once traffic on Schultz Lane is swapped.  Tobermory Drive intersection will open while Picadilly will be closed for construction starting the week of May 10-15th. Once Picadilly Drive is closed, it should remain closed for approximately 10 days. (Weather permitting)

Driveway Closures

The Schultz Lane Realignment project was initiated due to state requirements regarding street spacing requirements.  In order for the City to improve Pflugerville Parkway to a 4-lane divided roadway, TxDOT required the existing Schultz Lane to be closed and re-routed to A.W. Grimes.  Schultz Lane is open to Traffic.

Project Status

In early December 2009, construction a 10-foot trail from Heatherwilde Boulevard to Grand Avenue Parkway will begin.  This project is funded by CAMPO and Travis County bonds.  Also, the project construction will be managed by Travis County.
