Solid Waste and Recycle Schedule
IESI is the contracted waste provider for the City of Pflugerville. The information below will outline the trash and recycling provisions and schedules currently in effect.
Effective February 1, 2010 customers have new curbside trash and recycling pick up dates.
Trash Pickup / Solid Waste Schedule Trash Schedule
All non-recyclable waste should be placed inside the green wheeled cart. The cart should be placed at the curb no later than 7 am. Trash is picked up on this day every week and recycling is picked up every other week on the same day. If your trash won't fit in your trash cart, IESI will pick up 6 additional items or bags of trash each week.
IESI will collect brush. All limbs must be bundled and no longer than 4 feet. Grass may also be placed at the curb for pickup. Bundles of brush and bags of grass are included in the 6 additional items that may be left at the curb each week
Please avoid overloading your trash can and recycle cart with debris or materials weighing more than 100 lbs. The truck's mechanical arm can only lift up to 100 lbs. Place heavy items next to your cart. Trash Schedule
Recycle Schedule/Guidelines Recycling Schedule
Your blue recycling bin should be placed at the curb by 7 am every other week. Please allow 5 ft of space between your trash cart and recycling cart. This space allows the automatic arm on the recycle truck to grab your cart without hitting the trash cart. Please also keep your carts at least 5 ft. from vehicles and other obstructions.
There are two recycling pickup schedules, Schedule A and Schedule B. Your scheduled recycling day is determined by subdivision. The recycling pickup day is the same as your trash pickup day but on an every other week cycle. Recycling Schedule

City Recycle Center
The City Recycle Center offers customers other recycling options not available at the curb. These options include recycling appliances, vehicle batteries and tree limbs. Since plastic bags are not recycled curbside or at the recycle center, customers are encouraged to recycle them at local grocery stores. HEB and Wal-Mart do recycle sheet plastics (dry cleaning covers) and plastic bags.
Bulk Items
IESI takes bulk items on any normal service day. This includes washers, dryers, mattresses, bundled brush etc. However, any appliance normally containing Freon must be purged and a certificate indicating it has been purged must be attached to the unit or it will be left behind. IESI does not take construction debris. Keep in mind, several appliances, tires and batteries may be taken to the City Recycling Center.
